The Abrasive Trim Clinic for barefoot horses is a TWO DAY clinic;
however, either day is optional.
First day, 10am to 4:30pm, is an introduction to natural trimming guidelines, lecture and
discussion, followed by a demonstration of the abrasive trim method, which is using an angle
grinder with a sanding disk instead of traditional tools.  You will see how this is a much easier,
faster and more accurate way to trim.
Price for day one:  $60.00

Second day, 9am to 5:30pm, each participant will in turn trim his/her own horse
(recommended), or a borrowed one, under close supervision.  I will trim the first foot while
explaining the needs of that particular foot.  The next two feet will be a joint effort. I will trim
one half, and the participant the other.  This offers an easy guideline for the person new to
trimming.  The last foot will be done by the participant alone, but I will still be there to make
suggestions and to assure it is going correctly.

Price for participants (trimming) is $200 for day two only and $250 for both days.  The new
Softouch Natural Hoofcare video will be available for purchase at the clinic for a reduced price
of $40.
Auditor Cost for day two:  $60.00 for the day ($110 to audit both days)
A "tool package," consisting of a light weight grinder with paddle switch adaptor, 2 flap disks,
a leather arm guard, 30-degree hairline guide, 6” ruler, and a special tail tie bungee can be
purchased at the clinic for a reduced cost of $75 for participants or $85 for auditors (plus $10
shipping).  Participants are required to bring leather gloves and protective goggles.  Dust
masks are optional, but recommended.
